If you have love for the game, than you should watch the All Star Game on valentines day And it’s even coming back to germany, where you can watch it live on ZDF (night from sunday to monday).
The teams are set now. You can definetely argue about the reserves, especially about Al Jefferson been not called as a reserve or Rashard Lewis over Turkoglu… anyway here are the chosen starting 5:
Looks like all these players have no sense for humour, or are they just overwhelmed by the stupidity of Ali G. Another explanation could be, that their reactions are somehow planned… take a look:
ESPN started a new webdesign a few days ago. It has been a long time since they renewed something, so it was just a matter of time after yahoosports and nba (relvant for me) did it.
The new face is fine. Some transparencies, a little bit of glossy structures, web2.0-typical-fonts and sizes, a clear structure and vids right in the middle of everything (before they were located at the left side).
Today I realized by accident, that Steve „the franchise“ Francis is still playing in the NBA. I mean, that he is somewhere under contract isn’t so surprising, but that he gets some minutes is really fun. Imagine that: Right now he is making 5.5 Pts, 3 Ass, 2.3 Rbs and nearly 1 Steal this season. Playing in 10 games for about 20 Minutes each. And he even started in 3 games.
Compared to his prime-time numbers from the 01-02 Season in Houston where he made: 21.6 Pts, 6.4 Ass, 7 Rbs and 1.2 Steals. Playing 41.1 Minutes per game.
Although the allstar weekend will take place next year in february, I did my voting today on nba.com. After I received the picks of a colleague. Just to let you know, I made my vote on how enjoyable these guys are on and off the court. And there have to a matchup between Kobe and Lebron. Further, VC is still the man for the dunkings (or do I live in the past), KG has to be on a team, Dirk Diggler, No Allstar-Game without Shaq as long as he is in any way on the court and Superman as the next Shaq (what an incident that he plays for Orlando too, lets see, if they can lure him too to LA one day)…
